This is an Interactive Web Browser-Based Tutorial on the Functional Compartmentalisation of the Cell Nucleus. It was written by Dominic Humphries for a Final Year project at Brunel University, and is not intended for use or viewing by anyone not connected with the University or the Department of Biology and Biochemistry.
To navigate, place the cursor over the image on the structure you wish to study, or over the coloured text below it naming the structure, and press the left button on the mouse. Alternatively, place the mouse over the box on the right for access to a pull-down menu, which will grant access to the same pages.
This Tutorial was designed to be as interactive as possible, and therefore contains many links throughout. There is no particular order in which the pages should be read in. Simply follow links to any particular structure or process you may be interested in. A link to a page is shown as coloured text:
